Whatever our religious or spiritual background, the Easter story offers a powerful roadmap for the inner transformative journey: we embrace our brokenness and die to the old; we surrender to sacred darkness and mystery; and we emerge, empowered, into more authentic expression of self and fuller engagement with life.

The archetypal journey of death and rebirth also lies at the heart of the vision of sacred activism. We will tap into the powerful spiritual energy of Easter to directly engage the process of our own transformation and be empowered to live in service to the transformation of humanity and the world.

Rev. Diane Berke is the Co-founder and Spiritual Director of One Spirit Interfaith Learning Alliance and One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. She holds advanced degrees in sociology, psychology, and therapeutic counseling; is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State; and has been a psychotherapist and spiritual counselor in private practice for over 30 years. Ordained in 1988, Diane is a widely respected pioneer and innovator in the training of Interfaith/Interspiritual ministers. She is the author of Developing and Deepening Your Spiritual Practice: An Interspiritual Perspective as well as The Interfaith Minister’s Training and Reference Manual. In 2002, Diane co-founded One Spirit Learning Alliance and One Spirit Interfaith Seminary.

A longtime student and teacher of A Course in Miracles, Diane has written four books based on the Course: Love Always Answers, The Gentle Smile, Forgiveness as a Path of Awakening, and All Things Are Lessons: Essential Teachings of A Course in Miracles. She is on the core faculty of Andrew Harvey’s Institute for Sacred Activism, serves on the Leadership Circle of the Community of the Mystic Heart, and is active in the Contemplative Alliance of the Global Peace Initiative of Women.

Most important, Diane is widely known and respected for the impact she has on those who study with her. Her boundless care, clear intelligence, and deep safety create an extraordinarily rich learning environment; her students and clients experience profound acceptance and a deep invitation to the truth that facilitates genuine transformation and healing.

Andrew Harvey is a world-renowned mystical scholar and teacher. Born in South India in 1952, he studied at Oxford University and became the youngest person ever awarded a fellowship to the prestigious All Souls College. He has devoted the past thirty years of his life to studying the world's various mystical traditions, and has taught at Oxford, Cornell, the California Institute of Integral Studies, and Wisdom University.

Andrew is the author of over thirty books, including Son of Man: The Mystical Path to Christ; The Return of the Mother; The Way of Passion: A Celebration of Rumi; The Direct Path: Creating a Personal Journey to the Divine Using the World’s Spiritual Traditions; Heart Yoga: The Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism. He is also co-author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. Andrew’s extraordinary lifetime of exploration, study, practice, and teaching has culminated in his vision of sacred activism: the marriage of deep mystical awareness and practice with direct, clear-eyed, compassionate action in the world in the service of justice and peace for all humanity, all living creatures, and the earth itself. He is the Founder of The Institute for Sacred Activism, and in 2009 he published The Hope: A Guide to Sacred Activism.
